There's A $1,000 Reward If You Can Help Bring This Dog Home

Gomez, a black and gray Aussie/Poodle mix, went missing from a dog sitter's house in Creve Coeur on November 24.

CREVE COEUR, MO — Kansas City residents Quinten and Ellie Sepe's dog went missing in Creve Coeur last week and they are desperate to get him back, they told Patch. Gomez, a black and gray Aussie/Poodle mix, disappeared from a dog sitter's house on November 24 while the couple were vacationing on a cruise. They flew home early and even hired scent-tracking dogs to try and find their missing pet, but to no avail.

"His scent trail died out, which could mean he was picked up by someone," Quinten Sepe said, adding that he and his wife are now offering a $1,000 reward for Gomez's safe return.

Sepe said his wife is a veterinary technician. Gomez came to her clinic four years ago from a breeder. Only weeks old, he was tiny and weak with failing vital signs.

"He was not expected to make it more than a couple hours," Sepe said. "The vets determined there was nothing they could do. His tiny body was not responding to any treatment. So Ellie wrapped him up in a towel and just held him, for hours. Miraculously, a few hours in, the little ball of fluff started to wiggle in the towel."

But despite regaining his energy, Gomez still needed constant attention for the next few weeks.

"Ellie nursed him back to life and they were bonded forever," Sepe said.

He said having Gomez home would be a holiday miracle. So, if you've seen the little fluff ball, or know where he might be, call or text the Sepes at 314-808-0973. In addition to a heartwarming reunion, there could be $1,000 in it for you.
