Thieves Hit Two Jewelry Stores In Creve Coeur In 24 Hours
One robber was injured by flying glass from his own gunshots Monday, but another store was hit less than 24 hours later.

CREVE COEUR, MO — Police are investigating two jewelry store robberies in Creve Coeur that took place within 24 hours of each other. The first was Monday afternoon at Vincent Jewelers on Olive Blvd. Witnesses say armed men open fire with rifles before fleeing with an undetermined amount of merchandise in a dark-colored, four-door Dodge Ram pickup truck. Police said at least six people were in the store at the time, but no bystanders were injured.

The first officer arrive at Vincent Jewelers within seconds of a 911 call placed at 2:43 p.m., but four suspects had already fled, police said, adding that blood found at the scene indicates at least one robber was injured by flying glass from his own gunshots.
Another jewelry store robbery took place around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday at Genovese Jewelers, also on Olive Blvd. in Creve Coeur. Police responded to a burglary alarm to find a broken window and an undetermined amount of merchandise missing. Police are reviewing security cameras and have not said if they believe the two robberies are related.
