Unauthorized Mailing Requesting Donations Sent to Residents

Some Creve Coeur residents may have received a solicitation, requesting donations to support police officers in an "Annual Creve Coeur Campaign". The police department did not give permission for the solicitors to use the department's name.

The Creve Coeur Police Department were notified that some residents have received an unauthorized mailing from a national organization, which supports fallen police officers, according to a news release sent out Monday afternoon. The organization requesting donations mentions supporting Creve Coeur officers in an "Annual Creve Coeur Campaign," according to the release.

"Creve Coeur PD did not give permission for the use of the Police Department name in the solicitation," the release states. "This organization was contacted and explained that an outside vendor had sent the solicitations. They have agreed to remove this information in future mailings."
