United Way Awards Grant to Crisis Nursery

$25,000 grant will be used for over 100 families

St. Louis, MO –The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is excited to be a recipient of a Phase 2 COVID-19 Crisis Response and Recovery Grant from the United Way in the amount of $25,000. The Crisis Nursery is a longtime member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.

This grant will be used to expand the Crisis Nursery’s Emergency Fund and will help more than 115 families with 230 young children that are in urgent need. The Emergency Fund provides critical funding for families facing eviction, utility disconnect, or other urgent safety and stability needs. The grant also provides funds for PPE for Crisis Nursery staff who have continued to work throughout the pandemic.

The United Way awarded these grants “to organizations with experience supporting crisis-impacted communities and/or those with capacity to provide to impacted individuals and communities beyond their normal client bases within the 16 counties served by United Way of Greater St. Louis. This funding will support safety net agencies on the front lines of the pandemic.” This is exactly what the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery does every day.
