Charity Polo match will benefit wolves

All proceeds from the event Saturday, Aug. 27, in Defiance, Missouri, will go to the Endangered Wolf Center.

Here’s your chance to watch the fast-paced, action-packed sport of polo – and help wolves at the same time.
All proceeds from the St. Louis Benefit Polo Club’s match on Saturday, Aug. 27, will go to the Endangered Wolf Center and its important mission of preserving critically endangered Mexican wolves and red wolves.
The match will be held at the Blue Heron Farms Polo Club, 4020 Benne Road, Defiance, MO 63341. Gates open at 3 p.m. and the match begins at 4 p.m.
Admission is just $25 a carload.
VIP tickets are $75 a person. VIPs enjoy a reserved area with an elevated view and all activities, including food and drinks, free of charge. Call 636-938-9306 to reserved VIP tickets.

You’ll have a chance to meet and photograph the players and get autographs.
There will be a kids area with a bounce house, Longmeadow Rescue Ranch Barn Buddies, a World Wildlife Fund exhibit, gift shop, silent auction, delicious food, soda and water, and adult beverages for those over 21.
The opening ceremonies will include a dove release by Wish Upon a Dove. At halftime, be sure to take part in a traditional champagne toast and divot stomp.
