Doggie Egg Hunt Delights Two-Legged Creatures, Too
VIDEOS: Local dogs were treated to their own Easter treasure hunt at Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital located at the intersection of Missouri Route 100 and Fox Creek Road in Wildwood.
A golden retriever from Wildwood won the golden prize during the annual Easter egg hunt for dogs at Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital Saturday in Wildwood. The retriever, brought by J.J. and Jim Stinnett, is named Ashley. They also had another dog there, Louie.
This the third annual egg hunt the veterinary staff has hosted.
Dog families could gather the plastic eggs smelled or touched by each dog. Some dogs stopped to nibble morsels found inside eggs, some were distracted by all the smells, some were very interested in meeting other dogs.

All participants walked away with dog treats and prizes, such as PupPies, carob peanut butter treats, Wildwood Historical Society calendars, Beneful Baked Delights, collars, pooper-scoopers and Beggin Strips; the Stinnetts received a basket full of items and certificates.
The participant who obviously threw herself 150 percent into each egg was Maggie from Wildwood. She is a 12-week-old Shih-Poo who lives with Jodi, Anna and Andres Facenda. She can be viewed as the small, brown and white curly ball bouncing through the video and photos that accompany this article.
