Missouri's Make People Better Expands ‘Get Well, Make Well’ Program

Mission-driven Company Donates 125,000 Doses of Re:iimmune to Promote Healing from the Inside out

Every year, a half million children under the age of 5 die from dehydration and millions more suffer from poor intestinal health and malnutrition.

After seeing this firsthand during medical mission work, Make People Better CEO Dr. Kerri Miller was inspired to create the Get Well, Make Well program. Since then, Missouri-based Miller has donated over 125,000 doses of re:iimmune to provide clinical strength hydration and intestinal immune support to underserved populations. The most recent donation is on its way to Peru to aid in catastrophe relief following the devastating flooding that has impacted the community.

According to Miller, “’Get Well, Make Well’ has been a core part of our mission from the very beginning. When we started the program, our product box hadn't even been designed yet! Our goal in 2017 is to expand our network of partners and bring more doses of re:iimmune to people in need both in the U.S. and abroad.”

Why is it important?

Every year, a half million children under the age of 5 die from dehydration and millions more suffer from poor intestinal health and malnutrition (World Health Organization). During medical mission work, Miller saw the debilitating effects firsthand and was inspired to create something that aids you from the inside out.

“The impact on these babies is devastating,” says Miller. “Even with proper nutrition, they often can’t absorb the nutrients from the food. I created re:iimmune to not only provide clinical strength hydration, but also intestinal support so kids can gain weight and be healthy. These are the two key components that, when paired, become a superpower.”

How does re:iimmune work?

  • Clinical Strength Hydration
  • Intestinal support

“Every cell in the human body requires water. In impoverished countries and disaster situations when IVs are scarce, many patients don’t get enough liquids to get better and stay better,” says Miller. re:iimmune has been clinically proven to provide clinical strength hydration. Children 12 months and older can use it.

re:iimmune delivers the amino acid L-glutamine to help repair tissue, a prebiotic to feed the body’s “good” bacteria, zinc, ginger and a blend of 14 probiotics to help boost immunity, plus ginger root to ease nausea. According to Miller, “The probiotics fill in when your own good bacteria have too much work to do or are damaged.”

Who has ‘Get Well, Make Well’ helped?

Through partners such as Convoy of Hope, the ‘Get Well, Make Well’ program has donated over 125,000 doses of re:iimmune to sick patients worldwide in the U.S. and abroad in countries including Nicaragua, Haiti, Africa and Peru.
