Spooner's Frozen Custard Reopens to Dish Out Fun for Spring Break
Eureka's outdoor frozen custard spot is back for business, including parties in the tunnel.
Friday was the official reopening day for Spooner's Frozen Custard at 113 E. Fifth St. in Eureka, after being closed for the winter.
Owner Julie Witherspoon said business hours will be determined daily this week, due to the weather forecast. While they were open Friday and Saturday, they didn't open Sunday once the cold weather and snow was expected.
Spooner's regular hours are noon to 9 p.m. daily.

Witherspoon also said her staff is ready to host birthday parties in "The Tunnel" with crazy balloons, games and face painting.

Spooner's offers customized frozen custard pies and cakes year-round, plus Gus' Pretzels, hotdogs, brats and salsiccia sandwiches.
