Wildwood Woman Charged With Phoning in Fake Hydrocodone Prescription

Police said the woman pretended to be a doctor's office employee when she phoned in a fake prescription.

A Wildwood woman is accused of submitting a fake prescription to a Chesterfield pharmacy in an attempt to get painkiller medication.

Barbara Jean Wagner, 47, of the 16900 block of Kingstowne Place Drive in Wildwood, was charged Jun 6 with attempting to fraudulently obtain a controlled substance.

Chesterfield Police said Wager called the Dierberg’s pharmacy at 1730 Clarkson Road in Chesterfield April 19 and said she was a physician’s employee. Wagner asked for a prescription for hydrocodone with acetaminophen. A pharmacy employee checked with the doctor’s office and found no such prescription had been given.
