DWI Checkpoint Planned for Jefferson County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol made the announcement in a news release.

A sobriety checkpoint will happen in Jefferson County sometime this month. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol made the announcement in a news release. Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C in Weldon Spring, stated that the highway patrol will work with local law enforcement agencies in conducting the checkpoint.

The exact date and time of the checkpoint isn't available to the public.

"Driving while intoxicated checkpoints are a great tool in removing the intoxicated driver from Missouri's highways," Johnson stated in the news release. "If you suspect a motorist of driving while intoxicated, call the Missouri State Highway Patrol at the toll-free emergency number 1-800-525-5555 or cellular *55."
