
A granddaughter used one of her grandmother's checks to make a nearly $250 purchase at a High Ridge store last week, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The resident told police she believed her granddaughter entered her home and took a check from her checkbook. The check, written for $246.09, was used to purchase medications and other items.
The granddaughter provided a full confession and was taken into custody, according to the report.Â
