Blonde, Brunette Give Way to Purple, Mahogany, Red Tones at Salon Infinity

The latest trend is in hair is all about color, says one High Ridge shop owner.

"Colors with a purple, mahogany or red tinges are really in," said Shannon McBroom, owner of Salon Infinity. McBroom's hair has mahogany undertones (see attached photo).

Ombre hair is also popular right now, she said. That's when the roots are dyed darker, and the ends of the hair are lighter. For examples, check out this Glamour Magazine article.

And what's hot in nails? Shellac. Nail technician Michele Staub says Shellac, which is like a rubber nail polish, offers a flawless finish for two to three weeks as opposed to regular nail polish that chips off in two to three days. For more information on the product, visit its website.
