High Ridge Boulevard has seen a lot of businesses come and go. But there's one small shop that's been a mainstay on the road for 51 years - C&H Western Wear.
Connie Jeter and his wife Hermie started the business in 1962. They sell all things western to the local horse community, from boots and hats to jeans, saddles and bits.
Jeter told Patch the business has seen a lot of ups and downs over the years. He said his secret to success throughout the years has been financial responsibility.

"You've got to pay the bills," he said. "You don't buy yourself a steak dinner until all the bills are paid. If you have good credit, you can do anything you want."
