A High Ridge man faces charges of first-degree child endangerment after police say he hit a girl younger than 17, and twisted her arms and wrists.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Department officers say Isaac D. Faulkner, 20, of the 4900 block of Diamond Drive in High Ridge, attacked his family member on June 4 after he thought she stole his iPod, according to a court document.

Police say Faulkner wrestled her to the ground, twisted her arm and hit her in the mouth. As he twisted her arm, Faulkner told her he was going to "bust it off," police stated in the court document.

Faulkner also pushed over another family member and kicked her in the stomach, police stated. The attacks follow a string of similar incidents in February, April and May, police stated in the court document.

First-degree child endangerment is a class C felony.
