A House Springs man was transported to an area hospital following a two-car crash on Interstate 270 on Tuesday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Daryl McKinney, 50, was headed southbound behind 28-year-old Stephanie Hessel, of St. Louis around 5:35 p.m. Hessel stopped because of traffic. McKinney's vehicle struck the back of her car and overturned, according to the accident report.
McKinney was transported to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur with serious injuries. His vehicle was totaled. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, according to the report.
