Injuries Send Fenton Man, High Ridge 6-Year-Old to Hospital After Separate Car Crashes

The vehicle accidents were handled by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A Fenton man and a six-year-old High Ridge boy were transported to St. Anthony's Medical Center with moderate injuries as the result of separate car crashes Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, six-year-old Nathan Moentmann, of High Ridge, was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by Daniel Cushing, 29, of Hillsboro. Cushing was driving westbound on Thoreau Trail Drive when Nathan ran into the path of Cushing's vehicle, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).

The MSHP report stated Cushing swerved to avoid the boy but he was struck by the right side of the vehicle.

In a separate incident, Scott Reno, 19, of Fenton, was travelling on Old Lemay Ferry Road, north of Spring Forest Road on Sunday, when his 2001 Ford Mustang veered off the right side of the roadway, striking a mailbox and a tree, according to the MSHP.

Reno was transported to St. Anthony's Medical Center with injuries described by the MSHP as moderate.
