5 Things You Should Know for Valley of Flowers Today
Make sure you get the whole rundown for the final day of the annual festival.

Florissant Patch highlights five things we think you should know before you head out to the 2013 Valley of Flowers Festival.
- When: Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5
- Where: James J. Eagan Center, Duchesne Knights of Columbus Grounds, Old Town Florissant, Koch Park and Saint Ferdinand Shrine
- The Valley of Flowers parade will get off the ground at 1:45 p.m. and will start at 1:45 p.m.
- Fifteen junior ladies of Florissant will vie for the title of Valley of Flowers Queen. The crowning will take place at 4 p.m. following the parade.
- The forecast, according to the National Weather Service, is a 60 percent of showers with a high of 59 degrees and cloudy.
- A special charity raffle will take place following the queen crowning and will be toward helping Florissant families.
- The Knights of Columbus grounds will be open at 11 a.m. and close out this year’s festival at 8 p.m.
