Coldwater Creek's Water Level Rising Due to Heavy Rain

Thursday afternoon, Florissant police asked residents to exercise caution near the creek area. 

"Water continues to rise in Coldwater Creek," an alert from Florissant Police through Nixle said. "If you have a home or business along the creek, please be alert for rising water." 

The National Weather Service forecast calls for heavy rains before 4 p.m. this afternoon, and it includes a flash flood watch.

"Heavy rains could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted," the alert said.
