Florissant Doubles Its Shredding Day Totals
The May event yielded great results for the second annual event.

Florissant residents had a number of papers and documents to shred during Florissant’s recent Shredding Day event.
More than 9,700 pounds of paper was shredded during the event held May 18 at St. Ferdinand Park, according to an article in the Florissant Focus, which doubles last year’s total.
That is the equivalent of saving more than 84 trees, 31,500 cubic yards of landfill space, 15 barrels of oil and some 34,200 gallons of water.
