A new Florissant store could give Game Stop a run for its money.
Game Splash, 27 Flower Valley Shopping Center, opened in Florissant last month and sells, rents and trades video games. The store also provides space for folks to hang out, try out games or compete in tournaments.
Owner Kenneth Dotson said that he decided to open a store like this in north County to be a being together a diverse population but also bring back interaction that online gaming doesn't provide.
"You're guaranteed to have high-quality interaction," he said.
The store also provides fundraising opportunities for groups and organizations.
The shop is open daily, 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
