Former St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Pastor Dies

The Rev. Gerald T. Nienhaus died Aug. 17, 2012, after a brief illness, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. He was 77.

After ordination in 1962, Rev. Nienhaus started his service as assistant pastor of St. Gregory Parish in St. Ann.

He went on to serve at  in University City, North American Martyrs in Florissant, in Florissant and Incarnate Word in Chesterfield among others. He retired a few years ago.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at A, with a funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m.
