Regions Bank Robbed at Gunpoint

Florissant police responded to a bank robbery Thursday afternoon at Regions Bank on Shackelford Road.

A man in his 20s entered the bank and announced the robbery to the tellers while wielding a semiautomatic weapon, Florissant police spokesman Andy Haarman said. The man fled southbound on foot on Shackelford with an undetermined amount of money.

Haarman described the man wearing a black jacket, crimson shirt and a white-striped tie. He also carried a white-and-black umbrella.

No injuries were reported in the incident and police continue to investigate.
