Men Break Into Home, Assault Resident, Police Say
One man pointed a gun at the door while three others forced their way into the home, punching and kicking another man, Ferguson Police reported.
Four men forced their way into a Ferguson house Feb. 25 and assaulted the homeowner, police said.
Three of the men were charged Feb. 26 with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault. They are:
- Dupree Barnes, 34, of the 100 block of Fenwick Drive in Ferguson
- Eric Benford, 22, of the 1300 block of Stonebury Court in Florissant
- Martino Boone, 28, of the 400 block of North Florissant Road in Ferguson
A fourth man, Maurice Boone, 29, of the 100 block of Fenwick Drive in Ferguson, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

Ferguson Police said Maurice Boone stood in a yard in the 1100 block of Renshaw Drive in Ferguson and pointed a handgun at the man’s door as the others entered the home and assaulted the victim.
Police said the three men punched and kicked the resident, who suffered a cut lip. Police said the men, who entered the home to steal items, all were arrested at the home on Renshaw.

Each of the men posted bonds Feb. 27 and were released from jail. Barnes and Martino Boone each posted a $35,000 bond; Benford posted a $45,000 bond; and Maurice Boone posted a $30,000 bond.
