Summer isn’t over yet, but the City of Florissant has recently released its 2013 fall activity brochure for James J. Eagan Center and John F. Kennedy Center.

With time winding down on amusement park season, the City of Florissant has special discounts on Six Flags and Silver Dollar City tickets for the rest of the 2013 season.
Although the brochure focuses on the fall, the summer doesn’t end just yet with Family Swimming Night starting Aug. 21. The James J. Eagan Center indoor pool will host the night weekly on Wednesdays between 7 and 9 p.m. The cost is $3 per family.

If you’re looking to try out a Zumba class, boot camp or deep water aerobics, you have to get registered. The registration for courses begins the week of Aug. 19 and continues on a rolling basis, depending on the class. Make sure you check the first day of registration to save your spot in the class.
If you’re looking for a challenge in your next race, the Suicide Prevention Awareness 5K and 1-mile fun run will take place Sept. 21. Registration is $20 through Sept. 12, and it increases to $25 on race day. All proceeds will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
