Would you rather get $10 or the flu? Thanks to Schnucks Pharmacies, you now have a choice.

FLORISSANT, MO — In observance of National Influenza Vaccination Week, Schnucks Pharmacies will offer a $10 gift card to anyone receiving a flu shot at any of their 95 locations between Dec. 6-12.
“Schnucks Pharmacies make it easy for patients to get vaccinated,” said Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations Bob Buganski. “No appointment is necessary, no prescription is required, and our pharmacists are certified immunizers. Patients can simply stop by during regular hours and request a flu shot.”
According the the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, up to 20 percent of Americans will get the flu each year, with more than 200,000 people being hospitalized from complications from the virus. Tens of thousands of Americans die from the flu every year, mostly elderly people and young children. Even if you are not at risk of complications from flu, getting vaccinated can help protect those that are.

The cost of the vaccine is $41.99, Schnucks Pharmacies said, however, there is no charge for Medicare Part B patients and most insurance plans cover the vaccine, so those patients are only responsible for their plan co-pay, if applicable.
