Emerald Automotive Moving Forward Toward 2015 Opening
As the company continues working on private investors, the company looks toward opening no later than early 2015.

With many North County residents anxiously awaiting the opening of the Emerald Automotive plant in Hazelwood, plans for the plant continue to evolve.
Although no site has been chosen for the plant, the site is expected to open for production no later than early 2015, Gary Marble, communications director for Emerald, said.
The company is currently working with private investors for the corporation, but Marble said that in the next few months, many announcements about the site and other items will be unveiled for the public.

“Hopefully the building of Emerald’s North American manufacturing hub in Hazelwood will help stimulate the local economy and bring in new businesses throughout the North St. Louis County region,” Communications Director Tim Davidson said in a previous interview.
The site is expected to bring more than 600 jobs to Hazelwood.
Marble said that the company is happy with the progress and look forward to the next step in the process.
