Enjoy Hazelwood Parks During National Parks and Recreation Month
Before the month runs out, check out five Hazelwood parks, or others, that you could see.

One of the points of pride for Hazelwood is its parks, and now there's a whole month dedicated to it. Well, almost.
July is Parks and Recreation Month and to celebrate the month, we're running down five popular and cool parks throughout the city.
- One of the biggest parks in Hazelwood is White Birch Park, which has an array of activities and fun for residents and their families. Of course, White Birch Bay can cool you down, but the park also has tennis courts, a mile walking/jogging path, disc golf course and skate park.
- Home to the summer concert series, Harry S. Truman Park has an accessible playground, picnic pavilion, volleyball and a 1.17-mile walking/jogging path.
- Pack up the family or grab some friends for a fun afternoon in Howdershell Park. If you’re not interested in the multi-use court, you can check out the fitness course, racquetball/handball courts, athletic fields or volleyball.
- Hidden a little off of Hanley Road, Musick Park has the usual accommodations, playground, tennis courts and a walking path, but it is also home to the city’s sprayground where your little one can get wet and wild without dipping into a full pool.
- The 12.5-acre Pershall Park features athletic fields, fitness course, horseshoes, picnic site and lighted tennis courts.
