First Bank Employees Recognized For Volunteer Spirit

Sixty employees get First Bank CRA Community First Awards for 6,800 hours of service

In recognition of their outstanding volunteer spirit in 2016, 60 First Bank employees system wide recently received First Bank CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) Community First Awards.

Counting the Community First awardee hours as well other volunteer work bank wide, First Bank employees provided a total of 6,800 hours of service in 2016.

“Our employees really gave back to the communities where they live and work in 2016,” said Susan Montoya, First Bank Senior Vice President and Corporate CRA Officer. “They showed a passion and spirit for giving that only comes from one place: the heart.”

The First Bank CRA Community First Awards Program recognizes an employee’s service contributions to CRA-qualified organizations. Community First Awards can be earned by volunteering time towards CRA-qualified activities, which support one of the following criteria for low-to-moderate income individuals:

  • Affordable housing
  • Community services
  • Economic development
  • Revitalization

Bank system wide (Missouri, Illinois, and California), the 60 First Bank employees recognized spent more than 6,800 hours volunteering in their communities. The awards were broken down into three levels: Gold (at least 100 hours of volunteer service), Silver (50 to 99 hours), and Bronze (25 to 49 hours).

For their efforts, the winners at each level received certificate of achievements with Gold level winners receiving a gift and a $500 donation to the non-profit organization of their choice. Silver winners also received a gift and a $100 donation to the non-profit of their choice.

First Bank employees in St. Louis receiving an award were: Alisha Rooks (Silver Level); Sheila Adams (Bronze Level); Lisa Merenda (Gold Level); Monique Dattilo (Bronze Level); Eric Parsons ( Bronze Level); Tim Randazzo (Silver Level); Amanda Beetz (Silver Level); Katie Underwood (Gold Level); Joe Ambrose (Bronze Level)
