Hazelwood and St Louis Outlet Mall at 5555 St Louis Mills Blvd 63042 - Free Recycling Day

The City of Hazelwood is partnering with MRC Computer & Electronic Recycling, Mers Goodwill, Republic Services, Shred It, and the St Louis Outlet Mall to hold the 4th Annual Recycle Day this Saturday June 7th from 9am until 3pm.

MRC Recycling will be accepting computers, printers, electronics, cell phones, DVD/VRC players, stereos, microwaves, video game systems, large and small appliances - basically anything that runs off a battery or plugs in to a wall. Items do not have to work.

NOTE: There is a limit of one FREE TV (CRT or "tube-style" per vehicle. Additional TVs can be recycled at $15 each for up to 27". TVs over 27" or console/rear projection TVs will have a fee of $35 each

NOTE: All lawn and garden equipment must have gas and oil removed

Goodwill will be accepting furniture, books, games, dishes, glassware, and children and infants clothing and toys

Shred It will be providing on-site document shredding. Residents will have the opportunity to pull to the side and watch their documents being shredded.

Republic Services will be providing singles stream recycling for cardboards, plastic bottles, and items generally associated with single stream recycling.

Items not accepted during Recycle Day included paints, chemicals, solvents, tires, alkaline batteries, VHS tapes, thermostats, smoke detectors, and light bulbs.
