Neighbors Credit Union Receives First Place Dora Maxwell Award

St. Louis, MO – Each year, The Dora Maxwell Award is awarded to a credit union for its social responsibility projects within the community. This includes all of the community involvement aspects, such as Neighbors Credit Unions efforts with community organizations, schools, chambers of commerce, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and many, many other charities. All of Neighbors Credit Union’s employee’s education, donation, fundraising and service efforts are included.

“I am thrilled that Neighbors Credit Union has won the First Place Dora Maxwell Award at the state level!” says Neighbors Credit Union Vice President of Marketing, Becky Buehl. “Because we are a state level winner, our entry will go to the national level, where it will compete with other credit unions around the Country!”

This award—which honors credit unions who support the community—signifies the credit union difference and what “People Helping People” is all about. Neighbors Credit Union’s efforts have proven to truly make a difference.

Neighbors Credit Union will be honored at the Awards Breakfast at the 2016 Convention and Annual meeting of the Heartland Credit Union Association on Thursday, October 6. The results of the national competition will be given in October of 2016.
