Restaurant Report: Donut Heaven Referring for Noncompliance Hearing

54th Street Bar and Grill 
Address: 2895 N. Highway 67, Florissant

Comments: Woman complained to St. Louis County Health department that she found a hair on her hamburger that she order to-go from the restaurant a few days earlier. She also said that there’s a hole in one of the stalls of the ladies’ restroom. Inspector spoke to manager and observed all employees wearing hair nets in the kitchen area. Inspector also saw the hole in the restroom, but the manager said it was scheduled to be fixed and had placed a cover over it for the time being.

Applebee’s

Comments: Inspector found incomplete Hepatitis A records; sanitizer dispenser found to be too strong; gaskets on cooler torn; tape used on dispensers in coolers.

Comments: Person in charge didn’t have a food safety certification at time of inspection, and no proof of Hepatitis A records for all employees. Restaurant also hasn’t cleared up previous infractions from inspection, including trash accumulation around the kitchen and debris found on dishwasher. Inspector referring restaurant for a hearing due to noncompliance, which can result in a suspension or revocation of health permit. 

Aquaport Concessions

Comments: Barbecue being brought up to temperature in holding unit, but it’s taking too long and is in temperature danger zone. Manager reheated to 165 degrees before being placed in hot hold.
