What: Parade, Fireworks and Festivities
Where: Downtown Parkville
When: July 4, 2019 / 7:00 a.m. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.
Fuel up at the American Legion's Pancake Breakfast before heading to 63rd Street at 10:00 a.m. for the Community 4th of July Parade. Then spend the day at the Fun Times Show Carnival and wrap the evening up with fireworks at Grigsby Field at 9:45 p.m.

What: Independence Day Celebration
Where: Berkley Riverfront
When: July 4, 2019 / 3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Live Jazz and family-friendly activities await at Berkley Riverfront, where you can celebrate America with one of the best fireworks displays in the area.
What: 4 Mile Run/Walk
Where: Ward Parkway Pavilion
When: July 4, 2019 / Race starts at 7:30 a.m.
Celebrate Independence Day by running (or walking!) four miles along Ward Parkway, before enjoying a photo backdrop, snacks and giveaways.
What: Free Zoo Admission for Veterans
Where: Kansas City Zoo
When: June 29- June 30, 2019/ 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and July 4, 2019 / 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
In celebration of the 4th, the Kansas City Zoo is offering free admission to active and retired military individuals on Saturday, June 29, Sunday, June 30, and Thursday, July 4. Family members of these individuals will receive $1 off regular admission.
