Senior Star at Villa Ventura Welcomes New Executive Director

Senior Star at Villa Ventura is pleased to announce today the appointment of Connie Haworth as executive director of its senior living community.

Haworth brings more than 25 years of senior housing leadership experience to her role at Villa Ventura, most recently serving in a consulting position where she analyzed 42 senior living communities in the areas of infrastructure, programs, safety, dining and overall experience.

With a passion for working with seniors, Haworth is excited to be part of the Villa Ventura team. “We have the honor of serving seniors in their homes here at Villa Ventura,” said Haworth. “Their amazing stories are engaging, and it’s a privilege to be a part of their lives.”

Haworth noted that Senior Star’s ranking in the top 10 on Fortune magazine’s list of 50 Best Workplaces for Aging Services for the past two years along with Villa Ventura’s five consecutive deficiency-free ratings spoke volumes in her search for the right fit. “It is clear that Senior Star and its employees are in this business for the right reason – to take good care of seniors,” she said. “To achieve a deficiency-free rating five years in a row is impressive and clearly indicates that management is committed to hiring high quality people who deliver first-class service to residents. During her first year, Haworth plans to work with the Villa Ventura team to help them grow and develop in their roles. “I want to continue building a team where everyone feels valued and ensure that the Senior Star culture is infused throughout our community,” Haworth said. “It’s also important that we continue to offer engaging activities for our residents. Looking ahead, we will work to partner with resources in the greater community to bring programs that ‘wow’ Villa Ventura residents.”

Haworth holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and theatre from Avila University in Kansas City and a Master of Arts in counseling psychology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
