Crime Log: Woman Scares Off Man Found in Car

The Glendale police blotter for Dec. 31 through Jan. 5. The following information was provided by the Glendale Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Dec. 31
- At 8:43 p.m., police responded to several fireworks complaints throughout the evening in the 900 block of Moreland. Police identified the responsible parties and advised them to cease.
Tuesday, Jan. 1

- At 1:43 a.m., a 27-year-old Overland man was arrested in the 9900 block of Manchester Road and charged in Municipal Court with Driving While Intoxicated and Speeding. He was released on bond.
- At 3:44 p.m., the cellular phone found in the 800 block of Brownell on 12/23/2012 was returned to its owner.
Wednesday, Jan. 2
- At 7:51 p.m., a resident of the 700 block of W. Kirkham reported seeing an unknown male near his vehicle which was parked in his driveway. The male ran across the street and through a wooden gate, breaking the gate, in a neighbor’s yard. The male was seen moments later in the unit block of Hillard (one and one-half blocks away). He was described as an unknown age and race male, athletic build, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and carrying a backpack. Police were unable to locate the male. There was nothing taken from the original complainant’s vehicle.
Thursday, Jan. 3

- At 8:35 a.m., a suspicious male was seen walking around the area of North Glendale School, 765 N. Sappington Road. Police contacted him and learned he had been dropped off at the wrong address by a cab driver. Police made arrangements for another cab driver to take the man to the correct address.
Friday, Jan. 4
- At 2:57 a.m., a resident of the 100 block of Edwin reported seeing an unknown male inside her unlocked vehicle, which was parked in her driveway, rummaging through the vehicle. She tapped on her window and scared the male off. He ran from the area. He was described as an unknown race male, wearing a t-shirt and a ball cap. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
- At 12:12 p.m., a resident of the 300 block of Luther Lane reported unknown persons stole her identity and used it to open a line of credit on the internet. The resident also learned her Capital One Credit Card Account Holder information had been breached and changed without her knowledge. Police are investigating.
Saturday, Jan. 5
- At 12:56 p.m., a resident of the 900 block of Brownell reported an unknown male going door-to-door soliciting firewood sales. He was located in the 800 block of Brownell and advised to cease until a proper solicitation permit was obtained.
