Get Your "Elves in Action"

A Virtual Twist on a Community Event to get your Elves in Action, to benefit the Crisis Nursery!

The "Elves on the Loose," normally a part of "Santas on the Loose 5K" run event, will move to a virtual event with some exciting new features.

Kids 11 and under are encouraged to become a “elf in action.”

By registering to be an “elf in action” each child will be sent via USPS an Elves on the Loose facemask, a coupon for a free kids meal from Raising Cane‘s Chicken Fingers and a certificate certified they are an Elf in Action. There’s an opportunity to win a grand prize in a photo contest. Elves in action are encouraged to display their best Elf skills in how he or she is training for Christmas. Some ideas include:

    • Showing healthy behaviors like the Elves do in preparation for Christmas such as exercising, training to deliver gifts, making presents...
    • Showing how they are helping their family, friend or neighbors with some holiday kindness.
    • Showing any other creative ways that the ‘elf’ is using this time to be an Elf in Training for Christmas.

When the photo of the elf displaying their skills is shared on either Facebook and/or Instagram using the hashtag #ElvesontheLoose2020 AND #stlcrisisnursery , they become entered in the prize drawing. The winner will be selected at random and will win a package that includes a book from The Novel Neighbor (up to $20), a pizza for the family, and a take home craft kit.

Elves on the Loose and Santas on the Loose are both organized by the Webster Groves/Shrewsbury/Rock Hill Area Chamber of Commerce, and a portion of the proceeds benefits Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, providing a short-term, safe haven for 5,000 children a year, birth through age 12, whose families face an emergency caused by illness, homelessness, domestic violence or overwhelming parental stress. All services are completely FREE and VOLUNTARY.

The Webster Groves/Shrewsbury/Rock Hill Area Chamber of Commerce creates connections and builds community.
