Opening Set for New Kirkwood Park
A grand opening celebration for Avery Park is set for Oct. 14. Learn about the park's features.
What began more than a year ago with groups of residents gathered around tables with maps will come to life next week with the grand opening of Avery Park.
The Kirkwood Parks Department will hold a grand opening celebration for the new park at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Avery Drive Oct. 14.

- Two age-appropriate playground and swing areas
- Picnic pavilion
- Half court basketball court
- Misting fountain for water play
- Perimeter walkways
- Landscaping Areas
A brief ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. with light refreshments served immediately following, according to the City of Kirkwood.
