Police: Three Homes Burglarized in Kirkwood

Thieves made off with TVs, jewelry and laptops, according to police.

UPDATE (Tuesday, 1:35 p.m.): Early investigation into the two burglaries Saturday do not indicate that the incidents are connected. Both homes were not secured at the time of the burglaries, according to Det. Dave Smith, of the Kirkwood Police Department.

Kirkwood police responded to three residential burglaries last week, two of which resulted in stolen electronics and other items.

On Saturday, at 11:56 a.m., officers responded to a burglary at a home on Silver Lane. The resident arrived home to find several rooms in the house ransacked. Two TVs, jewelry and a checkbook were stolen, according to the Kirkwood Police Department. 

A few hours later, police responded to a burglary at a home in the 2300 block of Timberview Road. Two laptops, a gaming system and coins were stolen while the resident was not home, according to police.

Earlier in the week, another home in Kirkwood was burglarized but nothing was stolen.   

On Thursday, police were called to a home in the 300 block of Reardon Drive for a burglary. The victim reported finding a rear door damaged to gain access to her home. Nothing was reported stolen, according to police.
