HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum St. Louis recently elected Anita Reznicek, of Frontenac, to its board of directors. She will serve a three-year term and help guide the museum as it works to educate and inspire people to make positive oral and overall health choices to achieve optimum health.
Reznicek has more than 30 years of experience as an educator, school administrator and non-profit leader, specializing in interdisciplinary education and leadership development. She is the co-author of "Educating Our Daughters," a parent's guide to secondary school selection, which examines the potential advantages of single-sex education for girls. She also speaks on an array of topics relative to leadership, nonprofit organizations, competence and confidence, diversity issues and strategies, gender studies, women and philanthropy, and cultivating girl-friendly environments and teaching.
Healthworks! Kids’ Museum St. Louis is the first and only children’s museum solely dedicated to health education in the St. Louis region and one of only three in the United States. The $2.5 million facility boasts 12,000 square feet of hands-on, interactive exhibits and programming space and is anchored by a 55-foot-long, 25-foot-wide, 8-foot-tall human skeletal structure that serves as a universally accessible indoor playground.
