Ladue Senior Shatters Goals Record For Girls Lacrosse
Kaylon Buckner has 340 career goals. The previous record was 333.
Kaylon Buckner, a senior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, has broken the Missouri all time goals record for girls lacrosse. The previous record was 333 career goals. Buckner has now earned 340, crossing the all-time record in a game against O'Fallon April 26.
Buckner broke the record in the game's first half, school officials said, and wracked up a total of seven goals by the end of the match. In a game against Clayton earlier in April, she passed the state record for points scored, which includes goals and assists. With 451 career points scored, Buckner has now shattered the previous record of 402.
“Kaylon is a special student-athlete who has worked relentlessly to achieve success both for herself and her team,” school activities director Nick Gianino said. “She is a once-in-a-lifetime player who leads by example, displaying great character both on and off the field. We are all so proud of Kaylon’s drive, and gratified to see that her determination and strength of character has culminated in this recognition.”
