Many Standout District Track Performances at MICDS, Ladue This Weekend
Full account of who did what Monday on the Ladue-Frontenac Patch.
The sun bore through the clouds and there were sparkling performances abound at the local district track meets, Class 4 at Ladue and Class 3 at MICDS.
The top performers move onto the sectional competition next weekend, with the best going to the annual state track & field championships May 24-25 in Jefferson City.
The stars came out this weekend: Senior Amos Bartelsmeyer of MICDS won the 1,600, 3,200 and 800 meter runs without hardly breaking a sweat.

Ezekiel Elliott of Burroughs was his brillliant self in the hurdles and sprints. Speester Denzell Conway of MICDS caught Elliott at the tape of the 100 meter dash. Conway won in 10.90, Elliott was second in 10.95.
Elliott won the 110 high hurdles in 13.77; the 200 intermediate hurdles in 38.94 and the 200 meter dash in 22.56. He ran in 7 events Saturday.

The meet at MICDS was a nice debut for freshman Hanna Deines of Villa Duchesne. She won the mile in 5;27.15 and took a third in the 800 meter run.
Class 4, District 2 at Ladue
Ladue's Madison Barker won both middle sprint events, the 200 yard dash in 25.67 and the 400 yard dash in 58.44.
Ladue's Brandon Harrison won the high jump in 6-foot-2 and second in the triple jump in 43.10.
St. Joseph Academy's Lucy May took two seconds: 800 meters in 2:18.80 and the 1600 meter run in 5:03.37.
