Sewer District Working To Clean Up Ladue Spill
Some sewage spilled in Ladue this morning. Crews are working to clean it up and MSD said customers will not be impacted.

LADUE, MO — The Metropolitan Sewer District is working to clean up a spill in Ladue after sewage began overflowing from several manholes this morning. Crews found the sewer mains choked with debris and built a temporary dam in Pebble Creek, a tributary of Deer Creek, to contain the spill. The crews have cleared the blockage, but the effort to clean up the spill will continue over the weekend, MSD officials said.
Though there isn't excessive danger to public health, officials warned residents to stay away from the affected areas of the creek near Warson Lane, Forcee Lane, and the intersection of Conway Road and Conway Woods Lane. Some sewage also leaked onto the campus of Ladue Horton-Watkins High School. MSD has placed warning signs around affected areas. "If a member of the public should come in contact with the water in the creek or other affected areas, they should immediately and thoroughly wash with soap and water," the district said in a statement.
MSD said customers in the area will not be impacted.
