2 New Restaurants Eye Manchester Locations
A Pizza Story and Blind Tiger could be the next new Maplewood restaurants.
The Maplewood Plan and Zoning Commission will consider two new restaurants at its Sept. 3 meeting.
A Pizza Story will be a “gourmet pizza restaurant,” according to the meeting agenda. The restaurant plans to move into 7278 Manchester Avenue, the Jones Typewriter location. Jones Typewriter is currently moving out.
Blind Tiger plans to locate at 7376 Manchester Avenue, the former Jumpin Jupiter spot. Brown paper already covers the windows.

The agenda gives no clues what Blind Tiger will offer, though “blind tiger” and “blind pig” were names given to speakeasies where liquor was sold illegally according to several sources.
