Crews are currently tearing up Yale Avenue to replace it with new concrete all the way to Richmond Heights. The west side of the street is first, keeping the east side open.
A Yale Avenue home owner since 1983 said she'll be glad when she won't be able to tell when she crosses into Richmond Heights by the street.
Other Maplewood streets to be renewed this summer (completely or sections) are Richmond Place, Gayola Place, Roseland Terrace, Walter Avenue, Bartold Avenue and Coleman Avenue.
