They plan to open quickly, in the former Jones Typewriter location. The ceiling and walls have been painted, and the exterior bricks will be tuckpointed soon.

The two proprietors of a new Maplewood pizza restaurant, A Pizza Story, are professors at Washington University. Muhammad Alhawagri is a biologist in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Sherif Nasser is an assistant professor of marketing in the Olin Business School. They are both from Egypt.

Their venture, A Pizza Story, got the green light from the Maplewood City Council on Tuesday. It’s at 7278 Manchester Road, recently the location of Jones Typewriter, which has moved to Greenwood Avenue, in Maplewood.

Patch reported on the restaurant recently.
