Blues (Music), Cubs in Town, Muny and More This Weekend
Your entertainment can be just down the street this weekend, if you like.

Music and sports sum up what's going on this weekend around town.
- Friday night Banjo Billy and the old time players will play traditional American music at the Focal Point at 8 p.m. He’ll play old time fiddle and dance tunes and folk songs from our great Western expansion.
- Saturday from 9 p.m. to midnight on the Schlafly Bottleworks stage, catch Miss Jubilee and her band playing jump blues, swing and hot jazz. Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the door.
- The Cubs are in town to play the Cardinals Friday at 7:15, Saturday at 12:05 and Sunday at 1:15. Not going to the stadium? Two places nearby to catch the games are OB Clark’s in Brentwood or The Post Bar & Grill in Maplewood.
- West Side Story, the final show at the Muny, shows nightly through Sunday at 8:15.
- Maplewood Richmond Heights varsity soccer try-outs are at Ryan Hummert Park Monday at 6 p.m. (This was previously incorrectly stated to be last Monday. Sorry if anyone went then!)
