
Recently Patch was asked about signs at Manchester and Brentwood warning of red light cameras being removed.
The city had a contract with American Traffic Solutions (ATS)Â for cameras that take pictures of a car in the intersection when the light is red.
City Administrator Bola Akande said (in email) that the city chose not to extend the contract with ATS when the contract ended in April. Consequently Brentwood asked Saint Louis County to remove the signs and disconnect power to the cameras at Brentwood and Rose and Brentwood and Manchester.
Akande said, however, that at the July Board of Aldermen meeting, that the board would like city staff to bring back an agreement for the city's consideration.
