Citizens for Modern Transit Elects Brentwood Resident as Officer

New Officers and Board Members Announced at Annual Meeting

The region’s transit advocacy organization, Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT), elected Hart Nelson, of Brentwood, Mo., as vice chair during the organization’s 35th Annual Meeting held in downtown St. Louis last week. Nelson is the current associate vice chancellor of workforce solutions at St. Louis Community College. As an officer for CMT, he will serve a one-year term.

Nelson has nearly 25 years of experience working in public policy, government relations, intelligence and information technology. In his current role with St. Louis Community College, he is responsible for overseeing economic and workforce development, continuing professional development and personal enrichment education. He also manages entrepreneurial initiatives that reflect the needs of local, regional and national employers. He has been a CMT board member since September 2015.
