Facelift for Mr. Wizard
A Maplewood-based mason has been hired to spruce up Mr. Wizard on the off-season.
Maplewood brick mason Doug McCarthy has been hired to take care of Mr. Wizard's brickwork.
He said he's adding rows of new bricks to the front of the popular summer custard ice cream spot.
McCarthy is the owner of aaabrickmailbox, at 2920 Big Bend Boulevard. He said he bought the business in 2010. He takes orders for nine different styles of brick mailboxes, builds them at his shop and transports and them when completed.
