Maplewood Police: Large Nose Painted on Buildings
The incident was among others reported by Maplewood Police between April 1-8.

Monday, April 1
- A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated resulting from an accident investigation in the parking lot of a Maplewood Commons business.

- A 37-year-old man was arrested in the area of Big Bend Industrial Court and Oxford Avenue on suspicion of a drug violation.
- A 2010 Kia Forte was reported stolen from the 7500 block of Manchester Road.
Wednesday, April 3
- An 18-year-old man was arrested in the 7200 block of Lyndover Avenue for assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. Police had responded to the above location relative to a disturbance call. A Maplewood officer suffered a minor injury.
- A vehicle was scratched with a sharp instrument in the 2500 block of Bredell Avenue.
- Graffiti was discovered on a building in the 2100 block of Yale Avenue. A large nose with some letters were painted on the building. In recent weeks other buildings have been spray painted with similar markings. - A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting approximately $160 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
Friday, April 5
- A 32-year-old man and a 56-year-old man were arrested for suspicion of shoplifting alcohol from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Chairs and a table were reports stolen off the front porch of a residence in the 3600 block of Oxford Avenue.
Saturday, April 6
- A 21-year-old man was arrestedon on suspicion of driving while intoxicated resulting from a traffic stop conducted at Manchester Road and Lyle Avenue.
- A 54-year-old-man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting alcohol from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police are investigating a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident which occurred at the intersection of Hanley and Manchester roads. There were no reported injuries.
- A 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- A 38-year-old man was arrested in the 7200 block of Anna on the charge of domestic assault. Police say he assaulted his ex-girlfriend.
Sunday, April 7
- A 31-year-old man was arrested for a suspected sex offense as a result of an incident which occurred at 1900 Maplewood Commons. Warrants are currently being sought at the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.Â
Monday, April 8
- A 28-year-old man was arrested in the early morning hours for suspicion of driving while intoxicated resulting from a traffic stop conducted in the area of Manchester and Hanley roads.Â
