Monday, Monday: Maplewood Police Can't Stop That Day

A week ago Monday, June 3, was a busy one for Maplewood police, including calls for shoplifting, disturbing the peace and walking out of a restaurant without paying.

  • A wallet and loose change was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Lyle Avenue between 9 p.m. on June 2 and 5:30 a.m. on June 3.
  • A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. 
  • A 57-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Two women had been arguing over living arrangements in the 2200 block of Yale Avenue. One of the women was taken into custody for several active warrants through another jurisdiction.  
  • A man and a woman reportedly failed to pay for their food after eating at a restaurant in the Maplewood Commons shopping center. Police searched the area for the couple, who left on foot, but couldn’t find them. 
  • Two 18-year-old women were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
